Feb. 27: A MAGICAL time was had at our Houdini Lecture and Magic Show

Many thanks to Professor Lorraine Moran of Camden County College, and her husband John Moran, who entertained, amazed and educated a nice crowd at our library this past Saturday afternoon.  Professor Moran presented a fascinating discussion on Harry Houdini, while Mr. Moran offered the group some real sleight of hand to brighten up their weekend.  A great time was had by all!

Our events at Stratford Library are free and open to all.  Watch our calendar to see what's coming up next, and come join us at the library!

READ IN COMFORT!

Come browse our newspapers, magazines, and staff picks while relaxing in our newly furnished reading area!

UMBERTO ECO

It is with regret that the Stratford Public Library announces the death of Italian critic, historian, polemicist, and author Umberto Eco. Signor Eco is probably best-known in this country for his international best-seller, the historical mystery novel The Name of the Rose. If you haven't read it, or would like to re-familiarize yourself with it, you may borrow it from our library.

The Stratford Public Library's volunteers are among the most important members of the library community. Their work is essential in enabling us to provide the best service we can for our patrons, in the interest of meeting their educational and entertainment needs.

Our volunteers are great, and they can always be counted upon to do a first-class job, but there is always room for more volunteers. To find out how to become one, please contact Library Director Alfred Encarnacion or Assistant Director Sydney Mason at 856-783-0602.
