It is with regret that the Stratford Public Library announces the death of Italian critic, historian, polemicist, and author Umberto Eco. Signor Eco is probably best-known in this country for his international best-seller, the historical mystery novel
The Name of the Rose. If you haven't read it, or would like to re-familiarize yourself with it, you may borrow it from our library.
